Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

St. Joseph never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Cabrillo Conquistadores with a sharp 6-0 win. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Conquistadores recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Mason Majewski, who gave up just a hit to keep Cabrillo off the board.

On the hitting side, Ashton Bluem was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Erik Furness, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

St. Joseph's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cabrillo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
