Naperville Central entered their tilt with Metea Valley on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp  9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Redhawks, who have now won ten matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Avery Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Shea Meech and  Jamie Saran did most of the damage at the plate:  Meech  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double, while  Saran  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  Saran has posted  over her last 11  contests. Another player making a difference was  Avery Hayward, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Naperville Central's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 19-12. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Metea Valley, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record  this season.
