Cozad entered their tilt with Chase County on Thursday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over the Chase County Longhorns. The Haymakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Chayden Hoffmaster, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. What's more, he also posted a 70% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gage Strauss, who posted nine points.

Despite the loss, Chase County still got an impressive performance from Camron Lempke, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Cozad's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Chase County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Cozad didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-37 victory against Scotus on the 3rd. Chase County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
