Highland got themselves on the board against Roosevelt on Monday, but Roosevelt never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Rough Riders. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 6-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Dan Miller, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Roosevelt off the board. Miller has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lucas Gerding was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Parker Janickas also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Highland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Roosevelt: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
