Weaver is 10-0 against Wellborn since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Weaver Bearcats challenge the Wellborn Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-39, which was the final score in Weaver's tilt against Ashville on Friday. The matchup marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wellborn had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Ranburne out 47-45.

Wellborn had a senior duo take command as Ray Williams went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals and Chris Williams went 6 of 13 en route to 12 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, Chris is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Avery, who posted seven points.

Weaver now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Wellborn, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Weaver against Wellborn in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured an 87-50 win. Will Weaver repeat their success, or does Wellborn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
