Basketball Game Preview: Hancock Hawks vs. Pascagoula Panthers

Hancock hasn't had much luck against Pascagoula recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Hancock Hawks will take on the Pascagoula Panthers at 7:30 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

Last Friday, Hancock took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-24 victory over Long Beach. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

Meanwhile, Pascagoula waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Admirals 76-53. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Pascagoula's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Hancock, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13.

Hancock might still be hurting after the 45-19 defeat they got from Pascagoula in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Hancock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
