Baseball Recap: Pahrump Valley Starts Season with Win at Home

Pahrump Valley took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Camp Verde Cowboys 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won three in a row.

Sam Mendoza tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Aidyn Cratty was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Zurn, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Pahrump Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-1 victory against Kingman Academy on the 27th. As for Camp Verde, they have also already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Needles on the 27th.
