Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Calvary Baptist had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 68-40 loss at the hands of the Frassati Catholic Falcons. The Eagles have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Calvary Baptist's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Thomas Heine, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 24 boards, and Cannon Hargrave, who posted 18 points. Heine has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Max Guisler was another key player, putting up seven points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist will head out to square off against Cypress Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frassati Catholic, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. John XXIII at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th.
