Softball Recap: Purnell Swett Comes Up Short

Purnell Swett lost against Cape Fear back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams fell 13-10 to the Colts. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lanna Haggans made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Shaniya Lewis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Purnell Swett's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Cape Fear, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Purnell Swett has already played their next game, a 16-0 victory against Douglas Byrd on the 2nd. As for Cape Fear, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-3 win against C.B. Aycock on the 2nd.
