It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Castle can now relate to. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomington South Panthers on Friday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Castle lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Boden Morgan, who threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also punched in a rushing score. 133 of Morgan's passing yards were hauled in by Carter Bobe, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

It was another big night for Braylen Townsend, who rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns for Bloomington South. Townsend's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards. Sam Giles also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.

Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Bloomington South, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Castle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bloomington South, they will welcome Decatur Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Bloomington South sitting on four straight victories and Decatur Central on eight.
