Basketball Recap: Hanford Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Hanford didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 69-52 victory over the Roosevelt Rough Riders on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Bullpups who have now won three contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Roosevelt still got an impressive performance from Cobi Posas, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Posas is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Lee, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Hanford's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Roosevelt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Hanford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-49 win against Central Valley Christian on the 20th. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-50 victory against Monache on the 20th.
