Goshen Central barely beat Cornwall Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gladiators were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Dragons on Tuesday. Considering the Gladiators have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Addison Freiberger was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Sophia Springer was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mia Antolino, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.
Goshen Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
