Softball Recap: Pennridge Drops Season-High Score on Faith Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pennridge). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Faith Christian Academy Lions a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their two-run performance the match before.

Lilly Davies was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Averi Dockery was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Pennridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pennridge's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Faith Christian Academy, their record now sits at 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pennridge will challenge Lower Moreland at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will face off against Delaware County Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
