Basketball Recap: Greenville H Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Greenville H Hurricanes were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-36 to the Greer Yellow Jackets.

When it comes to explaining why Greenville H lost, don't look at Aubrey Mathis. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points and five boards. Those 15 points gave Mathis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Hanley, who earned eight points.

Greenville H's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Greer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Greenville H does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greer, they will take on Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
