Volleyball Game Preview: Chowchilla Tribe vs. Liberty Hawks

The Chowchilla Tribe will square off against the Liberty Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Chowchilla made easy work of Riverdale and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tribe in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Liberty was able to grind out a solid victory over Minarets on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Liberty was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (96-87), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 9-25, 25-23, 25-22, 28-26.

Chowchilla better focus on containing Makenzie Ward and Mckenna Steele as the pair were huge in Liberty's win. Ward had 21 digs and two aces, while Steele had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs Ward has posted since back in August.

Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Chowchilla's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 20-9-1.
