Mojave River recap Sept. 26, 2012
De Zhontaey flecher of Oak Hills ran for the longest rushing play in Mojave River this season against Miller last week. Flecher ran for 99 yards on the play and finished with 237 on the day as his team defeated the Rebels.
Hesperia moved up to 485 from 511 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Scorpions were able to make the jump by beating Fontana 31-14.
Chris Gooding was the best wideout in the league this week as Sultana topped Victor Valley. Gooding tallied seven receptions for 62 yards. Raul Perez helped Sultana's passing attack out by catching three balls for 23 yards.
Kennedy Emesibe made the biggest impact on defense this week as Oak Hills bested Miller. The 6-foot-3 defensive lineman grabbed three sacks.
Nolan Brammer put up the best numbers through the air as the Bulldogs topped Marcus Soward's team. He finished with a total of seven completions for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Brammer 's favorite target this week was Tyrone Glimer, who caught four passes for 62 yards.
Hesperia's Austin Williams and Christopher Crummel have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mojave River in both passing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 823 yards this season, while Crummel has 22 catches for 469 yards. Michael Hawkins from Serrano leads the league in rushing with 432 yards.
Jeremy Topete's team took down the Steelers 31-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Semaje Williams ran for 144 yards in the win.
