Football Game Preview: Gardner Wildcats vs. Tyngsborough Tigers

Gardner hasn't had much luck against Tyngsborough recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gardner faced off against Littleton on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 14-7. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Tyngsborough made easy work of Quabbin Regional on Friday and carried off a 30-6 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Tyngsborough, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Gardner was dealt a bruising 53-26 defeat at the hands of Tyngsborough in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Bryce Goulet (who rushed for 122 yards and one TD on only ten carries, and also threw for 140 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes) won't be suiting up this time.
