Basketball Game Preview: Tiftarea Academy Panthers vs. Valwood Valiants

The Tiftarea Academy Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Valwood Valiants at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Tiftarea Academy will head out to face Valwood after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. Tiftarea Academy was dealt a 75-24 defeat at the hands of Brookwood. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Valwood entered their contest against Deerfield-Windsor on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Valwood fell just short of Deerfield-Windsor by a score of 51-49. The Valiants' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Valwood's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. As for Tiftarea Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.

Tiftarea Academy won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February of 2024, slipping by Valwood 46-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tiftarea Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
