Soccer Game Preview: Gladewater vs. Tatum

The Gladewater Bears will face off against the Tatum Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gladewater is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Gladewater's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over New Summerfield. Give the Bears' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Tatum was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Tenaha could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Mariana Maldonado was the only thing that stood between Tatum and a shutout considering she scored both of Tatum's goals, bringing her season total up to three goals.

Tatum's draw gives them a new season record of 1-1-1. As for Gladewater, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
