Preview: Pike Liberal Arts Patriots vs. Emmanuel Christian Warriors
Pike Liberal Arts has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Emmanuel Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Pike Liberal Arts slipped by Northside Methodist Academy 53-52.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Kinston on Friday, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. The victory was just what Emmanuel Christian needed coming off of a 80-51 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Emmanuel Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donald Adams, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Adams pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tristan Culp, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Pike Liberal Arts' win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Emmanuel Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
Everything came up roses for Pike Liberal Arts against Emmanuel Christian in their previous meeting last Saturday as the team secured a 80-51 victory. Will Pike Liberal Arts repeat their success, or does Emmanuel Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
