Softball Recap: Somerset Academy Falls Short of Archbishop Mccarthy in the Playoffs

Somerset Academy and Archbishop McCarthy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Somerset Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mavericks, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on April 7th.

Somerset Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Munoz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Somerset Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-12-1. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Somerset Academy nor Archbishop McCarthy have any future games scheduled.
