            Long Branch is preparing for their first  league matchup of the season  on Wednesday. They will head out to  face off against the Henry Hudson Admirals  at 4:00  p.m.
Long Branch is headed into Wednesday's   match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game  dating back to last season on Monday. They lost  18-5 to Freehold Boro.
 Long Branch saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carlos Torres, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. Another  was  Noah Hoogmoed, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Henry Hudson made easy work of Asbury Park  on Friday and carried off  a  13-1 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Admirals.
 Teddy Fariello was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Fariello was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  David Ortore was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Erick Rodriguez was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 Long Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Henry Hudson, their record is now 2-0.
 Long Branch might still be hurting after the  7-1 loss they got from Henry Hudson  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Can Long Branch avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
