Softball Recap: Scotts Valley Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monterey, Scotts Valley was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Chico Panthers 3-2.

Scotts Valley got a great performance from Sofie Seese as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Seese has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Taylor Wilson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Scotts Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Chico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Scotts Valley will face off against Santa Cruz at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chico, they will take on Monterey in a tournament on Saturday. The Dores will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
