Sheridan came into Friday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Clinton Central Bulldogs 4-3. This was payback for the Blackhawks, who suffered an 8-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chance Spencer was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Sheridan's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Clinton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Sheridan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-5 win against Elwood on the 3rd. As for Clinton Central, they will square off against Lewis Cass at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
