Baseball Recap: Public Safety Academy Takes a Loss

Public Safety Academy and Santiago squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Public Safety Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 14-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Phoenix couldn't push the score so high this time.

Public Safety Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adan Villa Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Villa Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Public Safety Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Santiago, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

Public Safety Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santiago, they will face off against Academy for Academic Excellence at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Cavaliers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
