Softball Game Preview: Evadale Rebels vs. Big Sandy Wildcats

For the second straight game, Evadale will face off against Big Sandy. The Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Monday, Evadale came up short against Big Sandy and fell 10-6.

For Big Sandy's part, Jaycie Blankenbaker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Big Sandy let Skyler Wick and Heaven Four Bear run wild. Wick went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Four Bear scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelly Weatherford, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Big Sandy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matches.

Evadale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Big Sandy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.
