Volleyball Recap: Toms River North Comes Up Short

Toms River North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackson Memorial Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on April 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15.

Reyhan Talib was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 23 assists. Talib is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season.

Toms River North's loss dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Jackson Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Toms River North will take on Southern Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jackson Memorial, they will challenge Marlboro at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
