Baseball Recap: Milton-Union Has No Trouble Against Twin Valley South

Milton-Union's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Twin Valley South Panthers 18-5. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Wyatt Kimmel made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kimmel was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.

In other batting news, Milton-Union got a massive performance out of Wesley Schommer, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Jacob Grube was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

The win got Milton-Union back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milton-Union will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenville at 12:00 p.m. on March 29th. As for Twin Valley South, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Brookville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
