Softball Recap: Shelbyville Takes a Loss

Shelbyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Mattoon Greenwave. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Alex Jokisch was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Aylah Logan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Shelbyville's record now sits at 1-4. As for Mattoon, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Shelbyville will head out to take on Central A & M at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mattoon, they will host Champaign Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
