Football Recap: Pecatonica/Argyle Comes Up Short

After flying high against Boscobel last Friday, Pecatonica/Argyle came back down to earth. The Vikings took a blow against the Iowa-Grant Panthers on Friday, falling 51-14. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Brock Hinderman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Iowa-Grant, throwing for 325 yards and six TDs while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. With that strong performance, Hinderman is now averaging an impressive 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. Sam Lundell also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.

Pecatonica/Argyle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Iowa-Grant, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pecatonica/Argyle is set to challenge their familiar foe Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Iowa-Grant will take on rival Black Hawk/Warren IL at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 834 yards in their previous games.
