Volleyball Recap: Stony Point Wins Going Away Against Manor

Stony Point not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Manor Mustangs. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Stony Point was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-5, 25-14.

Stony Point can attribute much of their success to Aubree Bagley, who had five digs and two aces. Jaleena Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Stony Point was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

Stony Point's win bumped their record up to 14-17. As for Manor, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Coincidentally, Stony Point and Manor will both be playing Vandegrift the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Vipers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
