Baseball Recap: Life Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Kenston Forest

Life Christian Academy won against Hargrave Military Academy on Monday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against the Kenston Forest Kavaliers as they made off with a 13-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

JJ Jimenez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Conner Gaster was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Aden Reynolds was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Life Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matches.

Life Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Kenston Forest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Life Christian Academy and Kenston Forest should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Eagles will challenge Peninsula Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (139 vs. 294). Meanwhile, Kenston Forest (ranked 93rd) will meet Fuqua (ranked 336th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
