Football Game Preview: Christian Collegiate Academy vs. Tensas Academy

Christian Collegiate Academy had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They are leaving MS behind and heading out of state to face off against Tensas Academy on Friday at 7:00 PM. Christian Collegiate Academy are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.

Things haven't been easy for Christian Collegiate Academy, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 36-57 punch to the gut against Wilkinson County Christian. A silver lining for Christian Collegiate Academy was the play of senior Jailon Phillips, who rushed for 130 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Tensas Academy faced Briarfield Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Tensas Academy took a hard 26-42 fall against Briarfield Academy.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. With five turnovers, Christian Collegiate Academy had trouble holding onto the ball. We'll see if Tensas Academy exploit that vulnerability.
