Volleyball Recap: Machias Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Machias lost against George Stevens Academy back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-13, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Machias saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Myra Look had six digs and four aces. Look is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Machias has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for George Stevens Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Machias is set to challenge their familiar foe Calais at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, George Stevens Academy will face off against rival Lee Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
