Berks Catholic has gone a perfect 5-0 against Kutztown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Saints will head out to face off against the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Berks Catholic has three straight wins, Kutztown has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Berks Catholic is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Schuylkill Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Saints blew the Panthers out of the water with a 55-19 final score. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won four matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

Owen Schalk continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 193 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Curley, who rushed for 84 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Berks Catholic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 587 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Kutztown didn't have quite enough to beat Annville-Cleona on Friday and fell 42-39.

Berks Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Kutztown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Berks Catholic won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in October of 2024, slipping by Kutztown 35-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
