Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks vs. IMG Academy Blue Ascenders

The Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks will venture away from home to challenge the IMG Academy Blue Ascenders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Jordan Christian Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Last Thursday, Jordan Christian Prep strolled past Four Corners with points to spare, taking the game 75-58. Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Coyotes are ranked 372nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Amelia Williams and Danielys Pena Ponce. Williams had a great game and posted 30 points. Meanwhile, Pena Ponce did her best for the losing side, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, IMG Academy Blue suffered their biggest defeat since January 10th on Saturday. They came up short against Potter's House Christian, falling 50-29. The Ascenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

IMG Academy Blue's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Jordan Christian Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.

Jordan Christian Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against IMG Academy Blue when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 73-67 win.
