Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yorktown). They came out on top against the Lakeland Hornets by a score of 11-6 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-3 back in April.

Yorktown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Yorktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Brewster at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.6 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
