It was a good run, but Sanger unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the La Jolla Vikings by a score of 2-1. The Apaches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Sanger started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-13, 15-13.

Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for La Jolla, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Sanger has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Sage Creek on the 22nd. As for La Jolla, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Scripps Ranch on the 22nd.
