Basketball Game Preview: Unity Christian Knights vs. Central Lyon Lions

The Unity Christian Knights will take on the Central Lyon Lions in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Unity Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Unity Christian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering MOC-Floyd Valley just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to the Dutchmen. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (61), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Lyon). They walked away with a 65-58 win over Sibley-Ocheyedan on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Unity Christian fell to 5-1. As for Central Lyon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Unity Christian took their victory against Central Lyon when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 77-51. Does Unity Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central Lyon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
