Alamo Navajo put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hondo Valley 73-36 at home. With Alamo Navajo ahead 51-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Alamo Navajo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Scotty Guerro led the charge by scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Guerro hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jacob Apache, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Alamo Navajo's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Hondo Valley, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Alamo Navajo against Hondo Valley in their previous matchup on Thursday as the team secured a 73-36 victory. With Alamo Navajo ahead 51-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
