Recap: Gunnison Cowboys vs. North Fork Miners

The Gunnison Cowboys had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past North Fork 39-36. The win was just what Gunnison needed coming off of a 71-35 defeat in their prior matchup.

When it comes to explaining why North Fork lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Moss Inman. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Hart, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.

Gunnison's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for North Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gunnison will challenge Crested Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Fork won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Roaring Fork at 5:30 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Roaring Fork focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
