Baseball Recap: Moscow Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

While Moscow's victory against Lakeland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hawks 3-2. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Moscow got a great performance from Wyatt Hartig as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, Hartig posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four matchups.

At the plate, Moscow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Hurley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Moscow's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Moscow will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lakeland: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
