Mid-Carolina kept a clean sheet against Columbia on Tuesday. They blew past the Capitals 8-0. Mid-Carolina haven't had any issues with Columbia recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Mid-Carolina's offense was hitting Columbia from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Daniella Vazquez-Diaz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Mid-Carolina's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Columbia, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Mid-Carolina will challenge Newberry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia will be paying especially close attention to the Rebels' matchup: after the Rebels faces off against the Bulldogs, they'll take on Columbia again at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
