Football Recap: Vian Comes Up Short

Vian might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Kiefer who claimed the real prize. The Wolverines and the Trojans were almost perfectly matched up, but the Wolverines suffered a 30-29 defeat. The Wolverines were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Vian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kiefer, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vian will welcome Pocola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kiefer, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Trojans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
