Eastbrook won the last time they faced Oak Hill and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since May 20, 2024.

Delanie Elliott spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Braelee McNutt was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Randy Casto was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Eastbrook hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 7-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Eastbrook is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Hill, they moved to 8-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Eastbrook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-2 loss against Mississinewa on the 3rd. As for Oak Hill, they will host Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
