Volleyball Game Preview: Kerman Lions vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears

The Kerman Lions will challenge the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Kerman's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Sierra Pacific has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kerman duked it out with Washington Union on Thursday. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Lions have posted against the Panthers since October 21, 2021.

Kerman never let Washington Union on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-22.

Kerman found their leader in freshman Alicia Valle, who had ten digs and two assists.

Kerman was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive matchups.

Sierra Pacific not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0). They blew past Selma 3-0. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Kerman's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Sierra Pacific, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
