Southlake Carroll took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Byron Nelson Bobcat. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Bobcat recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Southlake Carroll got a great performance from Olivia Wiske as she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jordan Stewart, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Scarlett Kuhn, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Coming up, Southlake Carroll is taking a road trip to take on Caldwell at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byron Nelson, they will be taking part in a tournament against Horizon at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
