Lake Shore was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in Section 6 A - South. Earlier in the week, the Eagles defeated Hutchinson-Central Tech/Emerson Vo-Tech 34-14.

South Park/Middle Early College scaled the state rankings by moving to 168 from 260 this week, the biggest jump in the league. South Park/Middle Early College was able to move up by beating West Seneca East 22-0.

Brendan Ryan was a key player and the best on defense this week as Hamburg topped Iroquois. The 6-foot-1 sophomore grabbed 2 interceptions.

Alex Suchan put up the best numbers in passing as the Bulldogs bested the Chiefs. He finished with a total of 10 completions for 199 yards and 1 touchdown. Suchan's favorite target this week was Griffin Ryan, who caught 3 passes for 68 yards.

5-foot-11 quarterback Suchan of Hamburg is the league leader in passing yards this season with 476. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Corey Fiutko. The Lake Shore star has 7 catches for 197 yards.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Lake Shore's Fiutko goes up against Iroquois' Coyote Sokolski.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Pat Cauley's team takes on South Park/Middle Early College. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in third, while South Park/Middle Early College is in second.

There should be lots of points scored when Drew Takacs' team and Keith Marshall's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Eagles comes in having scored 76 this season, while the Chiefs have scored 76. Lake Shore scored 34 points last week as it topped Hutchinson-Central Tech/Emerson Vo-Tech.

Hamburg and Iroquois played the most contested game in Section 6 A - South this week, with Hamburg eventually emerging with a 15-14 victory. Suchan ran for 36 yards during the win.
