Baseball Recap: Mission Viejo Comes Up Short

Mission Viejo blew Beckman out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Beckman got their revenge. The Diablos fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Diablos' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mission Viejo's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Beckman, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Viejo will take on Newport Harbor in a tournament on Monday. As for Beckman, they will be taking part in a tournament against South Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
