Football Game Preview: Springbrook Blue Devils vs. Paint Branch Panthers + Official Tickets

Springbrook hasn't had much luck against Paint Branch recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Blue Devils will host the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Springbrook has given up an average of 50.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Despite the defeat, Springbrook got top-tier performance from Aidyn Thomasson, who picked up 176 receiving yards and two scores. Thomasson is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 103 every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Paint Branch entered their tilt with Bethesda-Chevy Chase on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Barons an 18-0 shutout.

Springbrook better keep an eye on Alijah Bah. He was instrumental in Paint Branch's win, rushing for 248 yards and one touchdown while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 43 receiving yards and one TD. With that strong performance, Bah is now averaging an impressive 114.6 rushing yards per game.

Paint Branch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 199 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Paint Branch's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Springbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Springbrook was dealt a bruising 42-7 defeat at the hands of Paint Branch in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bah, who rushed for 114 yards and three scores on only 11 carries.
